We know this might be cheating, but we had to show India’s Sunburn Festival some love. The event doesn’t take place on New Year’s Eve, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t attracting some of the biggest electronic music acts in the game. The festival, which is set to take place from December 27th-29th in the party destination of Vagator, features quite the eclectic lineup that is bound to please the thousands of fans that will be in attendance. Knife Party, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sander van Doorn, Krewella, Baauer and many more will be slaying the main stage crowd over the course of the three days, while artists such as Sasha, Jamie Jones and Oliver Dollar will be bringing the sounds of the underground for the house lovers.
Sunburn first took place in 2007 and ever since then, it has cemented itself as not only one of the best festivals in Asia, but also one of the best in the world. Although the music is the main attraction, the event offers a variety of other activities including dream catcher making classes, bungee jumping and workshops let by some of the industry’s most prominent figures. With all that in mind, it’s no wonder why Axwell once said, “When I play for money I play Vegas, when I play for holidays I play Miami, when I play for love I play India”.
