Nineteenineties – Wild Hearts (ERIC DAVID REMIX)
Coming from the world of American underground house, Denver native Eric David has put a melodic tech house edge onto indie band Nineteenineties’ single, Wild Hearts. Reverberating beeps over a rapid-fire drum rack and classic piano melody make up the release as the vocal sample blissfully streams along over the top, all combining for a soothing yet energetic dance floor burner.’Wild Hearts,’ as an original, lends itself to the style that David is trying to perpetuate here, and the result is a track that could fit into both an underground house set, as well as a more club-centric early-set scenario. The Denver dance music scene is one of the brightest in the country, and the producers within the house sub-genres are undoubtedly some of the most talented in the scene, with names like Option 4 and Action 52  coming to mind. Taking to heart the recent resurgence of the more traditional vibes over here in the States, Eric David is undoubtedly a name to keep close, and this take on ‘Wild Hearts’ is good enough reason.  Take a closer look at the producer’s Soundcloud, as well as that of local Denver label, Night Supply -an imprint that has been putting out consistently fantastic house music for quite some time now.
