Premiered a few days ago on Danny Howard’s BBC Radio 1, Dutch maestro Patrick Hagenaar has delivered an addictive mix of SecondCity’s track “I Wanna Feel”. Classified as “big room” by Danny Howard on air… I feel like it’s absolutely festival friendly, but quite a leap from commercialized big room – maybe we can coin this sub-genre melodic big room? Regardless, the production is a gripping and ethereal anthem, with allusions to UK garage and a bit of DnB feelings straight from the streets of Britain, which ultimately lead up to a scintillating drop sequence populated by soaring synthesizers and a mesmerizingly melodic explosion.
