Dance music legend and A State of Trance longstanding host Armin van Buuren has released his newest single, ‘Racing Spirit’, with Egyptian trance DJ/producer Ahmed Helmy. What makes this track stand out and unforgettable is that it includes spoken quotes from the late Formula 1 legend, Ayrton Senna. Additionally, ‘Racing Spirit’ from Armin van Buuren and Ahmed Helmy is the first release from the “Senna Driven” project. According to the official website of the legendary motorsports champion, this project celebrates his life and achievements through music and it collaborates with Senna Brands, Bulldozer, and Universal Music Group Network. Furthermore, the project is also a collaborative Electronic music album that features 20 exclusive tracks, including ‘Racing Spirit’ of course.
The album’s tracks contain the superb contributions of worldwide stars, especially top Brazilian artists such as Bruno Martini and Cat Dealers. This past weekend’s Tomorrowland Brasil saw some of the artists on the album who are on the festival’s lineup, perform the tracks for the attendees. This builds up on the momentum from the album showcase at the festival’s official opening party on Thursday, October 10th.
Releasing ‘Racing Spirit’ feels like a way for both Armin van Buuren and Ahmed Helmy to show that the legacy of Ayrton Senna remains a symbol of perseverance and determination to achieve one’s goals no matter what obstacle stands in front of those goals.
