Sultan + Shepard Release Exciting Close Your Eyes EP

What an incredible week it has been for the This Never Happened Superstars, Sultan + Shepard! They started off with a bang, celebrating their 250th episode of Dialekt Radio by exclusively featuring never-before-heard tracks. As if that wasn’t enough, they also dropped two brand new singles, ‘Close Your Eyes’ and ‘Behind Her Eyes’. Both of which will be part of their highly anticipated Circle in Time: The Trilogy EP. Don’t miss out on the chance to experience the depth and emotion of these phenomenal new additions to their already remarkable discography.

‘Close Your Eyes’

Ned and Osama’s music has always had a powerful emotional impact. Their latest tracks, will be a part of their upcoming project Circle in Time: The Trilogy EP. The song ‘Close Your Eyes’ is a collaboration with Richard Walters, who adds a unique emotional depth and vocal warmth to the track, enriching its introspective and serene qualities. Walters’ lyrical style often delves into themes of longing, self-reflection, and human connection, all of which are palpable in ‘Close Your Eyes’. While working on their first album Something, Everything, S+S created songs with Walters that formed the spiritual core of the album. As they wrapped up Something, Everything, and embarked on Forever, Now, they conceived ‘Close Your Eyes’, but the perfect ending eluded them until now. As they began crafting Circle in Time, the stars aligned for ‘Close Your Eyes’.

‘Behind Her Eyes’

‘Behind Her Eyes’, is a truly special track for the S+S boys. Written during a challenging time when Ossama’s mom was battling cancer, the song encapsulates the deep emotional journey of sadness and hope. The infectious groove of the track is driven by a tight bassline and steady percussion, providing a rock-solid foundation. The intricate layering of melodies, fueled by arpeggios, creates a captivating and propulsive rhythm. There’s a dynamic interplay between different synths, crafting a rich and textured soundscape that draws listeners in. The subtle yet impactful drops use modulation and reverb to add a sense of spatial depth to the track. As always, the boys deliver an exceptional piece of music that resonates on a profound level.
