A State of Trance’s 15 week run at White Isle in Ibiza was supposed to end Monday night with a closing party for the ages, featuring the likes of Armin van Buuren, Markus Shulz and Ferry Corsten performing as New World Punx, W&W, and Cosmic Gate. Unfortunately, the closing party was cancelled due to what event promoters are calling a “terrible accident” involving a crew member. The ASOT website released the following statement regarding the cancellation:
“We’re very sorry we have to announce the cancellation of the official A State of Trance Ibiza Closing Party at Privilege Ibiza. Due to a terrible accident that happened to one of the crew members during the buildup at Privilege, we have to cancel the event. It would not feel right to celebrate or party. We’re very sorry to disappoint the ASOT fans, who traveled to Ibiza from all across the globe to witness this night. Visitors can get a refund of their tickets at the door of Privilege tonight.”
Fans who traveled to Ibiza to see the King of Trance are undoubtedly upset over the cancellation. But fear not trance fans, the good news is that the workaholic van Buuren will be touring essentially non stop for the rest of the year. He will be at Tomorrowworld this weekend, Manchester’s Warehouse Project, the Sterosonic Tour, as well as his Armin Only shows.
