Sadly, the year 2021 is looking more like 2020 than we anticipated. Luminosity Beach Festival just announced that this year’s edition will not happen because of COVID-19. Luminosity events released an official statement on their site. “Unfortunately this will be the 2nd year in a row that we can’t hold our beloved Beach Festival. So as you can imagine, we are extremely gutted that we have to bring you this news. Of course, the health and safety of all our visitors is our main priority, but it still was a very difficult decision to make”. The news came out a couple of days after EDC Las Vegas announced that they had to move to fall.
Obviously, the fact many festival attendees travel from abroad makes the situation unpredictable. That’s why the Luminosity Beach Festival is rescheduled from Thursday, June 23rd to Sunday, June 26th, 2022 at Bernie’s Beachclub in Zandvoort (Netherlands). Luminosity aims to keep the lineup the same for the 2022 edition. As they reminded in the statement, it will depend on the availability and schedules of artists involved.
Moreover, ticket holders for the 2020 and/or 2021 edition of the Luminosity Beach Festival remain valid for next year’s event. For the people that can not make it to the 2022 edition, there will be a refund option. More information about refunds will follow in the next few weeks. The organizers even made a special FAQ section in case any of you have questions.
