Live Nation has canceled a series of planned drive-in concerts that were expected to take place this summer. Fears over the coronavirus have led to this unfortunate decision as reported cases continue to be on the rise.
The Streets, Dizzee Rascal, and Sigala were artists who were expected to perform at these events. The Live Nation drive-in concerts were planned to take place within 12 different cities in England and Scotland. However, according to a promoter, the cancellation of these events was due to newly recent lockdowns within those countries.
The city of Leicester, located in the UK, was the first city to go under lockdown this month. New regulations have been implemented and social gatherings of any kind have been extremely limited. Therefore, fines will be given to residents if they don’t follow the new restrictions. Ultimately, many other cities are bracing themselves for another shut down if COVID-19 cases continue to spike.
