“This March, we return home“, this is how Ultra Miami started their Trailer. The one-minute video celebrating the return was available on Youtube a couple of days ago.
With footage from old editions, the video focuses entirely on the return to Bayfront Park, the iconic location of Ultra Miami. The place witnessed the festival from 2001 to 2005, and again from 2012 to 2018. And what better track to use for the coming-home-celebration, than Martin Garrix‘s latest release ‘Home‘.
UMF had been relocated last year to Virginia Key, around 15 minutes drive from its historical location. This happened after the City of Miami denied the renewal of Ultra’s contract. The noise and chaos caused by the festival generated complaints from the area residents that the city had to react to.
After the relocation and failed discussions, we all thought that the festival will never return. But negotiations were successful and Ultra will be back.
The festival will be taking place on March 20, 21 and 22, 2020. Tickets will be on sale on September 24th at 1:00 pm EDT.
