Panorama Music Festival took place at Randall’s Island Park in New York City over the weekend featuring sets from Justice, Nicolas Jaar, Cashmere Cat, Frank Ocean and several others. Unfortunately several acts had their sets cancelled due to the stage collapsing at one of the stages called the Parlor stage.
The floor of the indoor Parlor stage caved in and broke during a hip-hop performance by TDE’s, Isaiah Rashad on Friday in the late afternoon. Slated to play after Rashad was Cherry Glazerr, Breakbot and DJ Shadow who unfortunately all had their sets either cancelled or postponed.
Following the floor collapse, the people at the stage were evacuated and the Parlor stage was closed off for the rest of the night, but went without a hitch the rest of the weekend. Breakbot’s set was rescheduled as he ended up closing the Parlor stage on Saturday following a heavy lineup of Sofi Tukker, Matoma, Hot Since 82 and Nicolas Jaar.
DJ Shadow and Cherry Glazerr both tweeted out their disappointment with the cancelled sets letting their fans know that it was out of their control.
To my fans…I’m deeply disappointed not to be playing tonight @PanoramaNYC because of a technical issue in our tent earlier today… 👎👎👎
