While the world is focusing on daily leaks or concepts about the upcoming iPhone 8 X, Google is preparing its competitor which will release around the same time. This year’s smartphone trend is thinner bezels and tall screens taking up almost the end front of the device. It appears that Google will be following suit with the upcoming Pixel 2.
From benchmarking software, rumors peg the Pixel XL 2 at a 5.6in screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2560×1312 display which lines up with something like LG’s G6. There will be anywhere from 2 to 3 different Pixels this year. You will get a large and small screen size, and perhaps even a budget oriented version. The Pixel is rumored to feature a Snapdragon 836 chip, which is a revision of the 835 powering most flagship phones right now.
We expect the Pixel 2 sometime in late September or Early October, but more details will be trickling out over the coming months.
