The sun was shining, people were smiling and good music was bumping all around at Bunbury Music Festival this past weekend. This was a young fest that brought a diverse array of artists and fans together in Cincinnatti, Ohio. Friday was dominated by rappers, DJ’s reigned supreme on Saturday and rock stars closed out the venue on Sunday. We saw great acts like G-Eazy, Whiz Khalifa, Muse, The 1975, Bassnectar and Pretty Lights.
The combo of two of the biggest names in electronic music in back to back set times threw fans in a frenzy for tickets. Derek Vincent Smith’s live band brought out the jams like his remix of ‘All of the Lights’. The band played through the wall of bright green parallel lights from their New Year’s Eve show and other dates from the tour.

As always, Lorin Ashton, the mind behind Bassnectar, closed out with a hype set. He played his remix of The Naked and Famous’ ‘No Way’, his new single ‘Front to the Back’ and other nectar favorites. With the new EP on the way, Bassnectar has a lot in store for the rest of the season.
