If your a millenial and use the internet to listen to music, it’s almost guaranteed you have heard of The Pirate Bay by now. You’ve probably also heard of the ongoing legal troubles Pirate bay has had with record labels and the music industry.
Last week the Helsinki district court decided Peter Sunde one of the owners of Pirate Bay owes the music industry quite a sum of money. It’s reported to be at $400,000 right now. Yikes. His response is to sue back for money owed to him.
Sunde is deciding to sue the industry for defamation, claiming they’ve dirtied his name. Supposedly he has not been involved with Pirate Bay for about 10 years and knew nothing about the lawsuit against him until the verdict was made.
Decided I will demand damages from the Finnish music industry for the harassment against me. I’ll be back later with more info.

Since stepping away from Pirate Bay, Sunde has had a number of other projects, but none quite as successful as his one that has gained popularity all across the world to the point of attracting lawsuits from all over.
