The
Voodoo Music & Art Experience in New Orleans, Louisiana has just announced their phase one lineup. Last year’s event—which featured headline appearances from
Jack U,
Alesso,
Duke Dumont,
Destructo among many other bands and DJs—had its third day cancelled due to extreme weather and flooding, causing performances from
Deadmau5 and
Eric Prydz, Chance the Rapper, Zac Brown Band and more to be cancelled. This year, attendees can look forward to yet another solid group of dance music performers including
Porter Robinson,
Carnage,
Excision,
Gramatik,
Alison Wonderland,
Snails,
Slander,
What So Not,
Lookas and
Lost Kings among an awesome variety of acts spanning numerous genres.
Weather in New Orleans is always a factor to consider, and last year’s Voodoo was unfortunately one of the numerous festivals across the country that fell victim to cancellation in 2015. This lineup announcement should be enough to convince anyone to attend Voodoo regardless of weather being a concern; last year’s experience was one for the ages despite losing an entire day. You can see the full lineup below, and we hope to see you in New Orleans for one special halloween weekend.
