Zedd, whose real name is Anton Zaslavski, is a German electronic music producer, DJ, and songwriter known for his contributions to the EDM scene. He gained international fame with hit singles such as ‘Clarity‘ (featuring Foxes) which became one of his signature songs and earned him his first Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording in 2014.
Zedd’s Day in San Francisco
In recognition of his contributions to music and his impact on the cultural landscape, Zedd was honored by the city of San Francisco with “Zedd Day”, celebrating both his musical achievements and his positive influence within the music industry, particularly his advocacy for LGBTQ+ rights, mental health awareness, and his charitable work. Zedd’s influence goes beyond music. By receiving a day named after him, Zedd was formally recognized as a significant figure in San Francisco’s artistic community.
On Zedd Day, Zedd celebrated by showing off the proclamation on Instagram and during one of his sold-out shows at the Bill Graham Auditorium.
New Album, And New Grammy Nomination
What a year it has been for Zedd! He released his new album ‘Telos’ back in August, the first album released in almost a decade following his ‘True Colors’. The new album peaked at number 8 on the Billboard Top Dance/Electronic Albums and features collaborations with the likes of Remi Wolf and Bea Miller. On Friday, November 8, 2024 the 2025 Grammy nominations were announced, and Zedd’s ‘Telos’ was nominated in the Best Dance/Electronic Album category.
