Ultra is once again owning our attention today. After the festival dropped the mindblowing announcement of Anyma b2b Solomun on the mainstage for its 25th Anniversary, we knew the Phase 1 was coming soon. As Ultra frequently announces things on Tuesday, our ears were perked up all morning. Then Ultra tweeted to let us know we should pay attention and get ready. First, the festival dropped another b2b bomb, announcing Dom Dolla b2b John Summit (Everything Always) would also play the mainstage.
Only a short time later the full Phase 1 lineup dropped and it’s a banger as expected. It features exclusives from Above & Beyond, Afrojack, Alesso, Anyma b2b Solomun, Armin van Buuren, Artbat, Axwell, Boris Brejcha, Carl Cox, Charlotte de Witte, Chase and Status, Deadmau5 b2b Pendulum, Dom Dolla b2b John Summit, Four Tet, Gesaffelstein, Hardwell, I Hate Models, LSZEE, Martin Garrix, Mau P, Miss Monique, NERO, NGHTMRE b2b Sullivan King, Richie Hawtin DEF EFX XOX, Solomun, Subtronics, Zell, and Zeds Dead. Exclusive means you’ll only see them at Ultra, or possibly as a surprise guest at a side party.
Resistance will host stage takeovers from Carl Cox Invites (meaning some b2bs) and Solomun’s Diynamic record label. Ultra will also feature a psytrance takeover from Vini Vici’s Alteza Records in addition to A State of Trance and Dirty Workz. In addition to deadmau5 and Pendulum playing together, they will also play separately. Deadmau5 will perform a retrospective set and Pendulum will play live.
Beyond that, there’s 999999999, Adam Beyer, Eli Brown, and Tiesto. Don’t forget, this is only Phase 1. Ultra has shown us in the past that it still has plenty of tricks up its sleeve from here. Could we see Eric Prydz [CELL] on Phase 2? We’ll have to wait and see. Tickets are back on sale now!
