Worlds Away, the upcoming immersive music and technology event taking place October 12th at the historic Monterey County Fairgrounds, is redefining the concert and festival experience. The inaugural event, sponsored by Pendulum and NEFT Vodka, announced today that it is partnering with AR platform Augmento as the key Title Tech Sponsor, “Van Gogh Experience” creator Normal Studio, Web3 & NFC Chip experts Endstate, and design firm Vita Motus to create groundbreaking and interactive technology based activations designed to transform how technology is used at festivals, and how crowds interact with it.
Worlds Away Festival sets to provide an unforgettable, exhilarating journey for all to enjoy
Worlds Away and its partners will turn the County Fairgrounds into its own universe, transporting ‘TRAVELERS’ (Worlds Away attendees) to an entirely new world called Nexus. Upon entrance into Nexus, ‘TRAVELERS’ will be met with cutting-edge technology that will be displayed through a variety of different installations and mediums. Among these interactive installations will be a digital graffiti wall, 3-D maps, virtual merchandise and food vender Portals, and an AR scavenger hunt, all of which are powered by Augmento.
Additionally, there will be an immersive experience room created by Normal Studio featuring projection surfaces and LED screens meant to create visual representations of the festival atmosphere. All merchandise will be NFC Chipped by Endstate, and will deliver exclusive social media content, behind the scenes footage, and an exclusive digital collectible known as ‘GATEKEEPERS.’ The goal for the NFC Chipped merchandise is for all ‘TRAVELERS’ to have an extension of the experience beyond the festival fairgrounds. Other thematic landscapes will be designed by Vita Motus, a company renowned for their work with Coachella and Electric Daisy Carnival.

All tech installations will accompany a number of performances from top tier acts including The Chainsmokers, Lauv, Tiësto, R3HAB, Sam Feldt, Lost Kings, and Ayokay, with more to be announced for the Preview Night and Pendulum’s ‘Twilight Nights’ event. The experience will carry into the evening, when the festival shifts from a vibrant daytime celebration to a mesmerizing nocturnal experience containing stunning light displays and holographic projections that will illuminate the fairgrounds, creating an otherworldly ambiance that will captivate the imagination. In addition, each element of tech will showcase how Worlds Away is a celebration that blends the timeless spirit of 1967 with the futuristic pulse of tomorrow.

Tickets for Worlds Away are on sale now with a variety of ticket and VIP packages available for purchase. Those who purchase a GA ticket will be granted access to the festival as well as all activations. GA+ purchasers will receive the same access along with a one-of-a-kind merch package in addition. VIP guests will have additional access to an exclusive VIP lounge and viewing area to all performances. A special Pendulum VIP package will also be available for purchase that will include an exclusive sneak peak of the venue as well as a special guest performance on Friday, October 11th, the evening before the official festivities begin.
