The always-loud, always-awesome Deadbeats label from Zeds Dead came out with another fiery compilation album on August 23rd. This album is We Are Deadbeats Vol. 6 and it contains 16 equally diverse and innovative tracks that would influence fans to get off of the edge of their seats, chairs, sofas, or beds. As any of the previous compilation albums preceding We Are Deadbeats Vol. 6 have shown, these wonderful releases provide an opportunity for the fans to hear bass music’s future global phenoms.
The first track of this album, ‘Tomb of the Scorpion’, is a collaborative track coming from Zeds Dead himself and the underground bass maestro from South Africa, Chee. This first track is one example of Deadbeats’ dedication towards its goal to ensure that bass music is a genre that has many admirers and aficionados worldwide. We Are Deadbeats Vol. 6 shows why Deadbeats is becoming a leading name in dubstep, trap, downtempo, DnB, and various styles of bass music
To emphasize how powerful this album is, all of the tracks in it are very addictive to hear. It will be hard to step away from it until probably the next couple days (or so). Very notable tracks to check out include ‘Alright Thanks’ from Jordanian electronic music star Don Jam mal, ‘VIBE ONE MORE TIME’ from rising phenom Steller, ‘Back In It’ by viral sensation Lumasi and Orlando-based dubstep artist Ghost Lotus, and ‘HELLPOD’ from innovative talent VEIL.
For anyone who plans on attending the Deadbeats Texas Jamboree event on August 31st at the Panther Island Pavilion in Fort Worth, TX, listening to the album is definitely a great warmup for a gnarly night at the event. The event is an expansion to the Deadbeats Backyard Jamboree event, which had celebrated its 4th edition on the Fourth of July holiday at the Civic Center Park in Denver, CO. Additionally, Deadbeats also came out of an unforgettable, two-night Deadrocks X showcase before the Fourth of July holiday on July 2-3 at the Red Rocks Amphitheater as well.
