Versatile UK-based artist Rebelski has made a triumphant comeback today with the release of his new EP, The Sirens, out now on Lee Burridge’s All Day I Dream. This marks his sophomore instance on the imprint, after the launch of his Paper Tree EP, which dates back to the year 2018.
Rebelski, a UK-based producer, recording artist, composer, and performer, is best known for his work with the indie rock band Doves. He is currently a full-time member of Peter Hook and the Light. And today, we welcome him back to the solo spotlight with this Ambient-tinted mini-album.
The Sirens EP
The The Sirens EP is a captivating collection of six ambient and enigmatic originals, each portraying a different ethereal landscape. The title track, ‘The Sirens’, also comes in two different variations — the original Ambient mix, and a very special and highly sought-after official Tim Green remix, which brings his iconic Organic House touch to the freeing piece.
Vast and absorbent, The Sirens is a transportive listening experience laden with complex melodies, sweeping instrumentals, and effervescent vocals appearing on tracks like ‘Memory Loss’, ‘Under Your Spell’, and the titular ‘The Sirens’. Serene, orchestral composition and organic instrumentation displayed on ‘Cascading Waves’ and ‘Jupiter’ highlight the sonic depth Rebelski has cultivated through his works as both a producer and session/touring musician.Â
Rebelski’s atmospheric six-track EP is complemented by Tim Green’s spectacular mix. Lifting ‘The Sirens’ with breezy Deep House rhythms, Green transforms the track into a rolling 9-minute escape.Â
