Kavinsky To Release Olympic Edit Of Closing Ceremony Highlight, ‘Nightcall’

Although the 2024 Paris Olympics have come to an end, the magic continues to live on through Kavinsky’sNightcall,’ which will now see an official Paris Olympic edit.

According to an article from Billboard, the minute the track got a lot of Shazams was 04:50 p.m. ET. The top three countries that Shazamed the track the most were France, the United States, and Mexico. The day before the Closing Ceremony, the track had 281,000 total global on-demand streams according to music data and insights company Luminate. During the live performance of the track, there were 6,921,000 Shazams of it.

The Upcoming ‘Nightcall’ Olympic Remix

Now, over a month later, Kavinsky has indicated he and fellow Olympics performers, Phoenix and Angèle, are releasing a new version of “Nightcall.” The collaboration was announced Monday (September 17) on social media with a mysterious billboard featuring Kavinsky’s Ferrari and a phone number. Calling the number revealed a short message from the artists and a preview of the upcoming remix.

‘Nightcall’ has a bit of history that pre-dates the 2024 Olympics, as it was featured in the official soundtrack of the 2011 film Drive and has the legendary Daft Punk member, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, as its producer. In addition, according to Kavinsky’s Spotify bio, ‘Nightcall’ now has over 404 million streams.
