About Patrick Topping
Ever since he joined Jamie Jones’ Hot Creations family early in his career, Patrick has proven himself both in the studio and on stage. Guided by Jamie, Patrick released his first EP in 2013 and rose through the ranks swiftly. He became a regular at Jamie’s Paradise parties at DC-10 and performed at other prestigious venues in Ibiza, Europe, and around the world. He has played at top clubs such as Fabric London, Warung Brazil, and Space Miami, as well as major festivals like Coachella, Glastonbury, Awakenings, Ultra, and Tomorrowland. Patrick has been honored with three DJ Awards and one DJ Mag ‘Best of British’ Award. As a DJ, he keeps the energy levels high while showcasing a variety of musical styles.
In terms of production, Patrick has showcased his ability to create high-quality dance floor hits, with tracks like ‘Forget’ (2014 Ibiza Track Of The Season) and his collaboration with Chicago legend Green Velvet – ‘Voicemail’ (2014). His last original work with Hot Creations, the massive ‘Be Sharp Say Nowt’ (2017), achieved silver certification in the UK in 2021. Instead of following a specific formula, Patrick has chosen to explore different musical styles, demonstrating his diverse tastes through various releases and launching his label Trick in 2019 as a platform to present a broader representation of himself as an artist.
About Green Velvet
Green Velvet, also known as Cajmere, studied chemical engineering at the University of Illinois. In 1991, he returned to Chicago to pursue a career in house music production. He made a notable impact with his track ‘Coffee Pot’ and later founded Cajual Records and Relief Records. Under the alias Green Velvet, he released successful tracks like ‘Preacher Man’ and ‘Flash.” In 1999, he created ‘Constant Chaos,’ described as “folk music for the rave scene.”
