Today is the 10th anniversary of the release of Porter Robinson’s debut album, Worlds. Of course, Porter Robinson stays true to his word. He has finally released the “lost” 13th track that unfortunately never made it onto Worlds.
We all know of Worlds, one of the most insanely influential and genre-defying albums ever released. One of the most pivotal decisions he ever made in his career. It truly needs no other introduction. It’s sensational. Four years ago, out of the blue, Porter tweeted that he uploaded another track that he created in 2012, ‘Shepherdess / She Heals Everything‘, for the 6th anniversary. Along with that, he explained that he would release “Hollowheart“, a track that sadly didn’t make it onto Worlds.
However, it’s here. I’ll let you listen. Enjoy the moment. Vocals are by the wonderful, Amy Millan, who also assisted on “Divinity”.
It’s been fun seeing fans look for Easter eggs with “Hollowheart”. Many have noticed the similarities between it and Porter’s unreleased “A Sound for Lonely People” and “OSTTT“. It’s a great trip down memory lane dissecting it all.
Additionally, Porter is celebrating the anniversary of his acclaimed debut album Worlds with two special edition vinyl releases. The Worlds 10th Anniversary Edition features a double vinyl with a holographic cover and includes a new bonus track. The second release, Worlds Live at Second Sky 2019, marks the first official release of the audio from Porter’s renowned 2019 Second Sky festival show. This double vinyl captures the last live performance (maybe it’ll happen again – who knows!).
Order your vinyl here and relive the magic once again. August 12th – forever will be one of the best days in electronic music history. Thank you, Porter, for the memories.
