Arriving as the duo’s most ambitious and commercially groundbreaking record to date, Mathame’s latest track has not only captured the essence of the season but the attention of critics as well, who have lauded it as 2024’s next true Summer anthem.

Embodying the spirit of the summer, ‘Angel’ is a radiant, sun-drenched track that showcases Mathame’s technical prowess and unique production style, weaving together mesmerizing melodies with vibrant, pulsating rhythms. Born from their union of brotherhood and musical genius, the track came together piece by piece during performances throughout 2024 around the world. “‘Angel’ came to light slowly, with many small steps, but the excitement of listening to it has never changed“, Mathame say. “For us, it represents the freshness of summer – from a run to Venice Beach to spending the day on a boat in Ibiza. The idea for the track first came to us watching a sunset in Bali“.

We found the right harmony between the parts with Parisi in New York, then continued to work on it throughout run-ins at parties across the world, from Ultra to Tomorrowland, Mykonos to Ibiza, where it became a bit of a closing record for our NEO Nights at Amnesia. It’s been great to see it grow and evolve, each time it’s been an opportunity to refine, revise and give it the shape it deserves.”
A NEO 2024
2024 has marked a triumphant return of Mathame’s shared artistic vision. First, it saw the release of their single ‘I Will Find You.’ Its original producers Clannad endorsed the single. Moreover, their groundbreaking residency – NEO – at Ibiza’s fabled electronic temple, Amnesia coalesced music and art. This meant bridging the gap between ancient and modern. Furthermore, they completed their AV Shows with an electrifying performance during Tomorrowland Weekend One. Lastly, they finished their first-ever full-length AI-generated feature film in a public venue, making an angelic mark in the world of innovative art.
This fall, the duo will unveil NEO World, their highly-anticipated world tour. It is set to debut at the iconic Brooklyn Mirage for the first time. As a two-hour, 360-degree immersive sonic experience, coalescing music and art, it centers around the reimagined, nine-meter-tall humanoid – NEO -. The physical manifestation of the duo’s connective ethos and symbol of unity and peace will make you feel as if you have found your guardian ‘Angel.’
