It’s about female dominance and knowing your way around the Club scene and it’s etiquette. This is advanced level club land. When Sara invited me to the session and told me the assignment, how could I not come through and lay down some funny, sexy and compelling silliness? When bad bitches unite it’s a powerful thing. We need to be direct about what we want, no regrets, no backing down, be your witchy self and watch how your life aligns. After all, lowkey they want the pressure, right?”
LEGZDINA
“I was in my second studio session of the day when LEGZDINA came into the studio to start this project and I liked her immediately – We hit it off right away. I got some drums in the mix, showed her the tempo, the groove and the track and we just started bouncing ideas off each other. We co-wrote all the lyrics together and she got in the booth, absolutely laid it down at 160 BPM – because she is amazing – and we finished ‘Pressure’ a few hours later.
This is the first time all of my bars for a hip-hop track have gone anywhere – I have a ton of lyrics I’ve written and never used before – so it’s cool that they’re now seeing the light of day on ‘Pressure’. I am very excited for this release, it’s for the girlies and anyone trying to have their it-girl summer. If that’s you, we know you’re going to love it too.”
