Any time DJ Snake is in New York City, you know its going to get down and going to be an insane performance. There are few DJs that have the commanding stage presence that he brings and is worth all the hype. Last Friday, the French DJ returned to the Brooklyn Mirage for one night, selling it out as expected.
As you may already know, DJ Snake has been talk of the year after he announced his mysterious “Final Show” taking place at Stade De France in France in 2025. The 80,000 venue sold out in a record breaking three minutes. Since the start of 2024, he’s also been going on some crazy side quests from performing at the Superbowl pre-game show to throwing a rave at a Mcdonald’s in Paris. Later this year, he will be playing his first ever bass set only at Lost Lands which will be a historical performance to witness. This is all in addition to him playing at the biggest music festivals and venues around the world.
Anyone who has seen DJ Snake live knows he performs a mix of trap, latin house, and house, making his performances very diverse. The French man threw down from the start, performing his recent release with Crankdat, ‘Big Bang‘. This set the tone for the night, hurling banger after banger to the Brooklyn crowd. Once the crowd got hooked, he would play classics such as ‘Taki Taki’ and ‘Lean On’. Middle of the performance, he brought out his heavy hitters ‘Propaganda’ and ‘Turn Down For What’ which got the crowd into a headbanger frenzy. The pyrotechnics were also insane, lighting up the venue in flames dozens of feet high. One highlight of the night was when he dropped his remix for Adam Port’s ‘Move’ which has been one of the hottest songs of the summer. Snake eventually closed out the night with ‘Let Me Move You’ which had everyone in the venue singing along.
