The Paris-born DJ and modern-day disco star had a massive season last year. After a string of strong releases, iconic performances (which included appearances at different elrow shows and nights at Amnesia Ibiza, where he played 8-hour long sets), and the debut of his successful side project Disco Dom, Dombresky’s ready to take another career-defining step. Last week, the man behind some of the best house music tracks of the last decade announced the debut of his very own label. Dombresky’s new label, called Process Records debuted its first track, ‘Heads High’ last Friday.
Dombresky’s reached the highest point in the industry. At this point in their career, it is quite normal for artists to decide to create a project that works as a funnel for all the tracks and the material they’re constantly receiving. After years of performing at some of the best stages in the world, DJs develop the ability to know which type of tracks the crowd wants to listen to. And, if the DJ happens to be particularly good, they might even be able to foresee what type of sounds the people will like in the future.
PRX, a Tribute to Clubbing Culture
PRX, Process Records’s first collection marks a bold shift in Dombresky’s musical approach. It is focused on delivering high-energy beats created specifically for clubs. The goal? To keep dancefloors across the globe bumping all night long. Each track in the forthcoming series represents a commitment to pushing the boundaries of club music, crafted to elevate the energy and excitement.
The label’s first release, ‘Heads High’ came out last Friday. It is a powerful, percussion-driven track that perfectly encapsulates the current sound of the Ibiza clubbing scene. Led by a sample of the track with the same name made by the Jamaican dancehall artist Mr. Vegas, it is the perfect tune to kick off what’s sure to be an exciting new project inside the industry.
