Mikel Crusy, a rising star in the Tech House scene, has had a great skyrocketing couple of years lately. Originating from Madrid, Crusy embarked on his musical journey at just 15, with his music getting to the ears of renowned artists. In recent years, he’s become a prominent face in the scene, rocking a couple of chart toppers, and a good handful of sonic firestarters.

His latest tune, ‘Hey Girls, B-Boys‘, is a nod to the past, with a clever and refreshing touch. Machine-programmed, dry drums are all it took for Crusy to craft a banger, but he went one step further. Two, actually. Firstly, he made a boomy saw bassline the core of the melodic elements. And secondly, he used a sample known by many.
The Chemical Brothers revolutionised the industry with their ‘Hey Boy Hey Girl‘ track, and that vocal was embedded forever in the collective mind of EDM.
