Max Porcelli – Lotus
Genre: Organic House
Max Porcelli is a highly respected Italian electronic music producer and DJ. With a career spanning decades, he has established himself as a prolific and versatile artist. As the founder of 989Records, he has championed a diverse range of electronic music while collaborating with artists worldwide.
His latest release came out today, and it’s titled ‘Lotus‘. This tune is a soft and warm coat on a cold winter night. That’s what it feels like: it’s got warm leads, organic percussion all over, and air instruments that can only complete an already beautiful picture. If you’re looking for an intelligent record, look no further.
Trance Wax – Talamanca
Genre: Trance (Old School)
Trance Wax is bringing all the heat today! He once gained notoriety for his innovative reworks of Classic Trance tracks, but now he’s out there, and he’s the one producing these Classic Trance belters. Look no further than his latest record, ‘Talamanca‘, out now on, yes baby, Bebé Recordings of all places.
This one is a bouncy piece. You’ll love it if you love Trance Wax’s style, because this is core, pure, unadulterated Trance Wax. A muffled kick, a 909 hat, open pads, and a galloping bass are all he needs to make these kinds of wonders. It’s a minimalistic approach to the music released 30 years ago, and we dig it because of that.
cell m8 – dreams. x
Genre: Breakbeat, UK Garage
We truly want to know, how hasn’t cell m8 blown up yet? A few months back we shared his debut tune ‘stay. x’, which was a lovely piece of Breakbeat/Trance hybrid. Now he comes back to our series in the form of what he likes to call the “cell m8 foneline edit” of Gabrielle‘s ‘Dreams‘. And, oh boy, is it good.
The sped-up vocal and the Trance arpeggios work really well when playing over this broken beat, so iconic and so signature of him. We tried to avoid turning the volume of our speakers up, but we couldn’t. Who would have thought chopped vocals, chopped beats, and long Reese basses would go so well together?
thinkinsounds – Noon Sun (EddyThron pres. Aloft Remix)
Genre: Organic House
EddyThron, a rising star in the Electronic music scene, continues to make waves with his Aloft side project. Following the success of his 2023 EP, Flying Over The Bare Ocean, and subsequent singles such as ‘Last Goodbyes’, the artist graced the world with his fifth release of the year, showing no signs of slowing down.
This week, he released a new remix of the track ‘Noon Sun‘ by Romanian duo thinkinsounds. The remix, which is part of a larger remix EP, showcases EddyThron’s ability to reimagine a track while preserving its core elements. His signature style, characterized by a heavy emphasis on percussion and melodic experimentation, is evident in this new record.
Factor B & Lovlee – Wondering [Your Love Leaves Me]
Genre: Trance
Factor B. What a way to end this week’s NMF on a beautiful, tear-inducing note. This man is the embodiment of someone who can make you go full cutting-onions mode while watching him play. He lives music to the fullest, and in doing so he kindly invites the attendees to feel the same safety of simply bawling their eyes out.
He’s now teamed up with Lovlee, an artist with a beautiful voice, and together they’ve unleashed ‘Wondering [Your Love Leaves Me]‘. BRING BACK TRACKS THIS LONG PLEASE. Eight minutes of a piece that feels like it comes from Heaven above. Piano, pads, vocal beds, and Lovlee’s beautiful vocals, make for the most soothing release you could have asked for this week — or this month.
