Two of the biggest names in the industry, Armin van Buuren and David Guetta, have announced their first-ever collaborative single. Titled ‘In The Dark,’ the track promises to be a standout addition to the summer’s music lineup. Featuring vocals by American songwriter Aldae, known for his collaborations with major artists like Justin Bieber and Shawn Mendes, the single is set to drop on July 12, 2024.
Last week, fans got a sneak peek of ‘In The Dark’ during Guetta’s iconic Ushuaïa Ibiza residency. The duo performed a back-to-back set, part of Guetta’s famous “F**K Me I’m Famous!” residency. This event marked their second-ever back-to-back performance, creating an electrifying atmosphere that left fans eagerly anticipating the official release.
In a social media post about the track, Guetta shared his love for Ibiza, stating: “The love of music above all, that’s why Ibiza will always be my favourite place on Earth !!! We come from different musical paths, but our passion brings us together… And gave us the desire to release a track together.”
While ‘In The Dark’ is creating a lot of hype, both David Guetta and Armin van Buuren have been keeping busy with other projects. Guetta, named DJ Mag’s 2023 No.1 DJ, recently remixed Sophie Ellis-Bextor’s revived hit ‘Murder On The Dancefloor’. He also dropped an official rework of Mason and Princess Superstar’s ‘Perfect (Exceeder)’ earlier this year.
Armin has been equally active, producing the official anthem for the Dutch men’s national football team ahead of the 2024 UEFA European Championship. Additionally, he released the 21st installment of his iconic A State Of Trance series last month.
“After being friends for many years we felt the time was right for us to turn that friendship into music,” Armin said on Facebook.
