So put on your best pair of headphones, or turn up your speakers, and enjoy this week’s New Music Friday.
Here are our top picks for the best music we came across this week, in no particular order.
Temple One – Uncharted
Genre: Progressive Trance, Trance
We’re kicking off this week’s NMF with the return of one of those hidden Trance masters to the site. Nearly one year ago we shared the news of his album Vivid Motion, and we welcome him today with the release of his new track, ‘Uncharted‘. If you want to know one thing before diving in: it’s pure Trancy bliss.
Temple One, an artist just a few years away from being active for two entire decades in the industry, presents today a pure journey through airy pads, sensitive atmospheres, and an overall fly-away sensation in this Progressive Trance wonder. Press ‘Play’ to be carried away by the elegant sound of the man himself.
skribbs – DON’T LET GO, PT. 2
Genre: Drum & Bass, Techno
Up-and-coming artist skribbs is not holding back this time. Some time ago, his original ‘DON’T LET GO’ sparked a crazy idea in him: what if he were to rethink the arrangement into something as banging as it was daring? And so, that’s how ‘DON’T LET GO, PT. 2‘ was born. “It is by far my most requested track to play at shows“, he says.
Blending a couple of very different genres in quite a seamless manner, he’s been able to pull off a really interesting hybrid, which is comprised of Liquid Drum & Bass during the breaks, and a four-on-the-floor drop ensemble. And we can’t get enough of it, if we’re completely honest.
Kamil Ghaouti x ANJE – All Up
Genre: Deep House, EDM
Get ready for what might become your next Summer anthem. Just in time for the change of season, Kamil Ghaouti and ANJE joined forces to unveil their single ‘All Up‘. The track represents a nod to the recent past, around 7-10 years ago, in which its sound reigned the Deep House kingdom.
Enjoy the caress of soft 80s pads, slightly formant-pitched male vocals, offbeat House pianos, and a feel-good atmosphere, making up this song designed to be your companion on long rides by the coastal motorways, or simply at a gathering with friends. Whatever it is that you use it for, it won’t disappoint.
1111 – Joy
Genre: UK House
And speaking about feel-good songs! Enter 1111, the brand-new Electronic alias from established vocalist, songwriter and producer, Lauren L’aimant. After a long while earning support from artists such as Danny Howard and Ben Malone, she felt it was only fitting to open up a bit more and found this new concept.
Right away you’ll notice how ‘Joy‘ simply makes you feel happy, somehow it achieves it from the first moment. Well, Lauren might have the answer: “I wrote ‘Joy’ as an expression of gratitude to the people I love; my girlfriend, family, and friends. They’ve been by my side through the coldest and darkest moments“. They are her joy, and we hope this track is yours.
Longo feat. Marco Lollis & Martina Corona – All About U
Genre: Future House
And while we’re on this path, let’s wrap this week’s NMF on yet another of those tracks that make you feel happy from the start, just because. This one sparked our interest, since it feels super fitting for warm, summer days. A trio of Italian-born stars bring us the final track of this week: Longo, Marco Lollis, and Martina Corona.
With a track that crosses boundaries from House and Future House over to Dance Pop territories, the end result of three good friends joining forces in the studio is a track that is emotional in the best of ways, and it’s called ‘All About U‘. The fast-paced base made by Longo gives way for Marco and Martina’s vocals to playfully take turns and offer the best result you could think of. Try it out for yourself!
