The Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida, is set to come alive with the sounds of diverse musical genres as the 11th annual Suwannee Hulaween festival announces its lineup. Scheduled from October 24 – October 27, 2024, Hula promises a historic collaboration between Grateful Dead’s Bobby Weir and The String Cheese Incident. This will mark the debut of The Bobby Weir Incident.
Suwannee Hulaween has become one of the most sought-after cross-genre festivals in the country. The festival offers a unique blend of music, arts, and camping, attracting fans nationwide. This year’s edition follows the resounding success of the 10th-anniversary celebration, which sold out. The festival’s return to its roots at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park is highly anticipated by fans eager to experience the eclectic mix of music and art.
The Lineup
The festival will feature headliners such as the Grammy-winning rapper Killer Mike, duo Black Pumas, and Tash Sultana. Joining them are Sublime, with original members Eric & Bud featuring Jakob Nowell. Electronic music powerhouses performing include Chris Lake, Tipper, Chase & Status, CloZee, Liquid Stranger, Nora En Pure, Of The Trees, and Walker & Royce. Additionally, jam band legends such as Greensky Bluegrass, and Umphrey’s McGee will take the stage.
The Bobby Weir Incident is set to be a centerpiece of the festival, with two consecutive sets closing out the event on Sunday. Attendees can look forward to three hours of Grateful Dead classics. This is a first, and certainly a must-see for fans of the Dead and Cheese.
What’s New?
Michael Berg, an original co-founder, along with business partners Chris den Uijl & Aaron Ampudia, have reclaimed ownership of Hulaween. They aim to continue the festival’s legacy as an independent, large-scale music festival. Hula is certainly known for its forward-thinking lineups and immersive experiences.
Hulaween 2024 will introduce a new 360-stage experience titled OFF LIMITS, located at Spirit Lake. This stage will feature underground dance music, fire effects by Incendia, and a Funktion-One sound system. It will feature over 20 artists and surprise guests to be announced.
Additionally, the festival will also showcase a variety of acts, including Andy Frasco & The U.N., Dumpstaphunk, and Lettuce. Electronic support acts making their debut include Cassian, G Jones, J Worra, and a special set from Marc Brownstein as DJ Brownie.
