Dirty South Remixes Sultan + Shepard’s’ ‘Highest Love’

A new remixed album from This Never Happened is underway, and the first remix from Sultan + Shepard’s Endless Dawn is out today. Dirty South, a well-known artist from Australia, has returned to Lane 8’s label, as he puts his spin on S+S’s ‘Highest Love’. Give it a listen and let us know how much you enjoyed the rework of ‘Highest Love’.

‘Highest Love’ (Remix) – Dirty South

Dirty South’s rendition of ‘Highest Love’ replaces the subtle guitar chords with a consistent beat and subtle synths. It gives the song a melodic take but keeping the original essence intact. The remake of this track enhances LANKS‘ angelic vocals. You hear a slight down tempo with a bit of violin sounds can at the two-minute mark of the song. The build-up that follows takes you on a brilliant melodic journey. Dirty South’s version of this track is sure to give you goosebumps and will undoubtedly be a hit when performed live.

Dirty South supported Sultan + Shepard’s New York and Colorado shows. As they embarked on their first-ever live tour around North America. The S+S boys have been fans of his work since early on in their music career in the US, and this collaboration is proof of the same.

This first remix of an already brilliant album has brought immense joy. The musical diversity and emotions that This Never Happened brings with all their artists, albums, and remixes are unmatched. As we patiently wait for the remixes that they allegedly have in store for us this summer. Sultan + Shepard have undoubtedly left us wanting more. Hopefully some of you were lucky to catch Ned & Osama play at the first Summer Gatherings hosted by Lane 8 of the year. The electronic duo will be playing at Electric Forest next.
