Mysterious bass collective Deathpact has released its debut album, FROM DARKNESS, today, May 31st. Since their mysterious arrival in 2018, the Deathpact project has immersed itself in the electronic music scene with genre-bending original releases such as SPLIT // PERSONALITY, MIDHEAVEN EPs, and multiple collaborations with other artists including electronic legends Jean-Michel Jarre, REZZ, and Zeds Dead.
FROM DARKNESS introduces fans to the next era of the project while inviting in new ones through a vast soundscape of genres and styles, featuring elements of drum & bass, hip-hop, and dance that will appeal to all electronic music enthusiasts. Additionally, witnesses to any of Deathpact’s materializations (live shows) in the last two years will recognize and finally have access to the tracks they’ve heard played live. This album draws influences from all previous Deathpact releases and showcases what’s yet to come. Listen below.
To support the new music, Deathpact will embark on a live show at Denver’s Mission Ballroom in collaboration with the Eternity Research Group (ERG). Koan Sound, Barnacle Boi B2B Brothel, and Austeria will join on June 22nd as support for Deathpact’s headlining performance. Tickets are available here. Alongside the Mission Ballroom performance, followers of Deathpact’s ERG–the dedicated organization focused on unraveling the mysteries of existence and the universe–will be able to partake in a unique immersive experience at a location to be announced.
Through exploring both known and uncharted territories, the ERG seeks to improve human understanding of this reality. One of the group’s primary focuses throughout recorded history has been that of Deathpact, an enigmatic being that occupies a unique ethereal position between life and death.
