Space’s Legendary Lucaz Returns with Your Miami Music Week Itinerary

With Miami Music Week 2024 approaching next week, we asked Space‘s own legendary Lucaz Zaglul to share his best picks for food, drink, and party during the week. Known as a notorious foodie and purveyor of parties, Lucaz dishes on some fantastic hidden gems worth checking out between parties. We asked him to give us a full hour-by-hour itinerary during whatever slice of Music Week he found most appealing.

Thursday: Sereia & Factory Town

It’s Thursday of Miami Music Week and you can’t hold off any longer. The celebrations happening all over town and the online FOMO from the previous nights have driven you overboard. You leave your day job an hour early, rebelling against the norms as usual. You round up the crew and make a last-minute reservation at the newest seafood heaven, Sereia, strategically located in Coconut Grove. Browsing the cocktail menu, you realize you picked the perfect place to begin the rally. Picture this: foamy fig whiskey drinks, caviar topped frozen and a Madeira, peach, Brandy served with Iberico ham tincture and mist. Did someone say caviar topped tableside frozinho (frozé but in Portuguese) with three different citruses? Yes, I did.

Sereia, meaning mermaid, is a love letter to the sea. Sample the wahoo and scallop crudo offerings and make your way into the carabineros prawn rice for a journey across the pond! For dessert make sure to crush their Pao de Ló, which is a masterful sponge cake meets cheesecake. Pair it with a Portuguese digestif from their extensive menu and you’re on fire to start the night!

Luckily, you’re already away from the MMW traffic madness so sliding to Factory Town is a swift 10-minute Uber ride. The Music On Showcase in the Infinity Room of Factory Town featuring The Martinez Brothers b2b Marco Carola as well as special guests Vintage Culture b2b Hot Since 82 will get you flying before you know it! Hop on to the other stages like Espacio Proximo hosting Ben Sterling’s Planet X and the massive Park stage with Chris Lake’s Blackbook Records show featuring a mega rare collar set with Bonobo! If you haven’t had enough flavor after all these bites and genres, find the hidden Cypress End stage for Ciao Dany! Starring Traumer and Voigtmann. Trickle back to Infinity Room for the rad back-to-backs and stop at the unicorn stage, The Warehouse, where HorsegiirL will be rioting across the wee hours.

Friday Morning: Space

You thought we were done just because we were at Factory Town until the wee hours? Nope! Catch a bite to eat at one of the amazing Factory Town food vendors and teleport yourself to the Space Terrace for Paco Osuna‘s Now Here extravaganza. You’ll want to leave FT (Factory Town) a bit early so you can be at Space in time for Paco and Nicole Moudaber to go b2b at 630am. Then Paco will man the decks himself from 730am-1030am. After that, he’s gonna b2b2b with everyone on the lineup until they feel like stopping. Once you’re ready to hit the ground (literally the floor, not The Ground – we’ll get there later), or probably a bit before that, head on home for a disco nap.

While making your way back from Space or back to Space, stop in at Vice City Bean in the neighborhood for the best cappuccino in town (double shot, you’ll need it).

Friday Night: Factory Town

It’s Friday of Miami Music Week and the party is on at Factory Town. Friday is action-packed all around the venue, no matter your taste for the evening. You’ll arrive either well-rested from the day or still wearing your festival outfit, but either way it’s all good. Tonight on the menu we’ll have Adam Beyer’s Drumcode in the Warehouse stage. It features that hard-hitting techno lineup featuring the boss himself along with Layton Giordani, Charles D, Ilario Alicante, Joel Mull, Massano and more. If you’re feeling house then head on over to Jamie Jones Paradise holding it down at both the Infinity Room and Espacio Proximo. That’s house heaven all night long with Jamie Jones, AMEME, Astra Club, Chris Stussy, Loco Dice, MAson Collective, wAFF, and more. If you thought that was already enough, we’ve got more. At the Park stage, we’ll have Mochakk’s Calling party conjuring up an immaculate vibe and at the Cypress End you can catch another outing for Thunderpony’s Saloon.

Thunderpony’s Saloon

While at Factory Town, make sure to hit up Restaurant Row for some off-menu Wagyu ribeye from Wolf Of Tacos or authentic patatas bravas by the españolitos at Bocadoro! Don’t miss on the special grilled cheese menu from our Space Odyssey team. These grilled masterpieces are only available few times a year! From blue cheese and buffalo chicken to Nutella mayhem!

Saturday Night: Jolene, Floyd, The Ground

On Saturday we’re in the mood for intimate vibes. We’ve been doing the massive all week long and we’re feeling a bit more bougie tonight. Throw on some nicer lounge attire and pop into Jolene Sound Room, the newest in our party portfolio. You’ll get down to the vibes provided by ChaseWest, enjoy the immaculate sound system, and sip on those specialty cocktails our mixologists will whip up for you. In keeping with this trend, you hop in an Uber and head on over to Floyd where maestro Mau P is on his baddest behavior. You keep this going for at least another hour or two, and then the urge to go feral comes out.

Since you’re already right next door you walk next door to Space, but this time you’re staying on the first floor and you’re hitting The Ground for RL Grime‘s Sable Valley event. Yeah, it’s a total 180, but it’s music week so who gives af. Bathe yourself in some face-melting bass to palette-cleanse your brain before the final day.

Sunday Closing Parties

Now it’s Sunday so it’s all about the closing parties. Take a disco nap and teleport to FT for one last dance at our mega-venue. Head on over to The Park stage for elrow RowsAttacks, featuring the beats of DJ Tennis, James Hype, Malone, Mele, and some special guests we can’t wait to tell you about. elrow is going XXL this year with a second stage at Cypress End, where you can catch ChaseWest, Ranger Trucco and more.

Take it on over to the Infinity Room for Dom Dolla‘s Good Fortune for a few solid hours before you watch the girls dance to the rhythm of Hugel and friends at Espacio Proximo. When you’re in the mood to go full creature mode, hit the Warehouse stage for the industrial techno of 999999999, Dyen, Charlie Sparks, I Hate Models, and more. You keep the vibe going here for a bit and realize you need a disco nap.

After that disco nap is concluded and you’re refreshed, it’s time to continue closing out the weekend (yeah I know it’s Monday, but this is Miami). Much like outer space itself, time moves at a different pace on the Space Terrace, so the Space Closing Party is 36 hours. You make it just in time to catch some of Marco Carola b2b Paco Osuna and grab some delicious pizza and a cookie before ANOTR and Seth Troxler hit the decks.

The Space closing party is the stuff of legend, and as the legend you are you have to be there. Be the guy or gal who is at Space for so long that the bartender serves you a drink, goes home at the end of their shift, and comes back the next day to serve you another drink on their next shift. There’s no more epic way to close out MMW. Then you can finally slam some magnesium and catch up on all the sleep you missed until Grand Prix Weekend at the beginning of May.

Tuesday: The Aftermath

Tuesday morning there’s one place that will comfort you like no other. That is the legendary Palace Cafe & Dairy. The Dominican window-shop slangs the best mangú tres golpes con cebollita (mashed plantains, fried eggs, sausage, fried cheese). You’re craving more comfort, try their chicken wings or any of the classic Dominican dishes. End your feast with the star of the show; the creamiest soft-serve on planet earth!
