Justice has released their new single ‘Incognito’ — the latest track from their eagerly-anticipated new album Hyperdrama, out April 26th. ‘Incognito’ opens with cinematic grandiosity before the song abruptly changes pace, plunging into a synth-laden odyssey and continuing the theme of the unexpected, which runs throughout the forthcoming album. The track’s unique energy and pace keep audiences enraptured throughout its run time. Listen to the new track and pre-save the album here.
Justice reflect on the track, commenting “Like many songs on this record, it switches from all electronic to all human music abruptly, multiple times within its four-minute run, The structure is dictated by what feels good at the moment it happens, without necessarily following any other rule“.
“We had to unlearn everything we thought we knew about song structures, and music in general, when we started working on ‘Hyperdrama’, which was very refreshing.”
— Justice
The new single follows comeback singles ‘One Night/All Night (alongside Tame Impala)‘ and ‘Generator,’ which were released in January. Justice were recently announced as headliners of Field Day Festival, as well as topline performers at this year’s Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which will act as the debut performance of their as-yet-unseen new live show, with more dates anticipated to be announced soon.
