Calvin Harris Reveals Shocking Jet Lag Remedy: Eating Raw Eggs

For globetrotting DJ and producer Calvin Harris, jet lag is a constant foe. But unlike most travelers opting for in-flight snacks, Harris has a unique – and somewhat shocking – remedy: raw egg yolks.

On “The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show,” Harris revealed his unusual habit, leaving the host speechless. “I was on a British Airways flight only a couple of weeks ago, and the air hostess told me she’d never seen anybody crack eggs and pour them into their mouth in their seat before,” Harris told Bell. “But that was me. That’s what I do.”

He went on to say that that he will retrieve six raw eggs from his carry on bag. “I like to get rid of the white, so I just do the raw yolk,” he continued. “I find it gets rid of the jet lag.”

However, Harris’ in-flight ritual isn’t without its challenges. Security concerns around the liquid eggs have caused some raised eyebrows, though Harris claims they’ve never been flagged. Regardless, his dedication to this unconventional method is admirable.

While the science specifically linking yolks to jet lag relief is thin, yolks are a powerhouse of nutrients.
