‘Contigo’ from Tiësto and Karol G seeks to brings out feelings of warm affection
The track ‘Contigo’ includes musical influences from Leona Lewis’ 2007 hit single, ‘Bleeding Love’ as it brings out feelings of warm affection in a time where love and acceptance are two things that people need to emphasize the most in today’s society. The music video of ‘Contigo’ also includes the appearance of Puerto Rican rapper Young Miko as the love interest of Karol G. The rapper has already collaborated with the Colombian reggaeton/Latin pop idol for last year’s rhythmic track, ‘Dispo’.
Karol G first teased the track when she posted a part of the lyrics on X (formerly Twitter), ‘No quiero nada si no es CONTIGO’. The translation is ‘I don’t want anything if it’s not with you’. The release of ‘Contigo’ with Dutch electronic music legend Tiësto comes after Karol G recently won a Grammy for “Best Música Urbana Album”. As the reggaeton star kicks off her Mañana Será Bonito Latin America tour, her superstardom continues to shine more bright globally, especially amongst non-Spanish speaking fans.
