Skrillex Shares Nearly 50 Stories Of Unreleased Music On Instagram

Slow down, you just won a Grammy!

For better — not for worse —, if there’s a phrase our beloved Sonny doesn’t know the meaning of, is “slow down”. Skrillex has been on a roll lately, coming back to the spotlight, in part due to the award-winning hit ‘Rumble‘ alongside Fred again.. and Flowdan, but also due to the sheer amount of music he’s released in so little time.

Let’s not forget 2023 saw him release not one, but two albums (namely, Quest For Fire and Don’t Get Too Close) ON CONSECUTIVE DAYS. When some huge artists are happy releasing around ten tracks a year, this man just decided to flip a switch and unveil twenty-four tracks in the span of a few hours.

More Music? Yeah, Tons.

Skrillex, being EDM’s gift that keeps on giving, went on Instagram yesterday and shared just a few IDs. In total, we counted 49 Instagram Stories, all containing his own goodies, and, if our ears don’t lie, most of which haven’t seen the light of day. This raises a very important statement: there is Skrillex for months.

Let’s suppose each story is a preview of a different track. If that’s the case, we’re looking at nearly 50 upcoming tunes from him which, at least, could potentially mean two 12-track albums for the year, just like he did last year, plus tons of singles. The future is looking bright.

Not only that, but also the contents of the tracks themselves span all we’ve ever heard from Sonny, and more. Electro-Dubstep hybrids, Bass House, Rumble-like beats… everything. If I were you, I wouldn’t just stick with that one video we shared a few lines above: if I’m on time, I’d RUSH to his profile to listen to each video. This is all premieres, chaps!

Final Words

Only time will tell what and when we’ll have available to us in the near future. Our sources tell us this is a sneak peak at the next Skrillex album and hints at the art for it. Until we learn more, if we can stay with just one idea of the entire piece: Skrillex has an entire pendrive’s worth of unreleased music. And we’re so for it. Stay tuned for more news!
