Dance Music is coming to the country music capital of the U.S. The Club, Night We Met, is said to be the first home for Electronic music in Nashville. It will also aim to become the “greenest” club in the country. The club will open its doors to Tennesee in March from the team behind Deep Tropics, a Nashville-based music festival with a focus on sustainability.
This is an achievement for America’s ‘Music City’. The club will be spread across multiple rooms, each fitted with a Void Acoustics sound system. Night We Met also promises to highlight both national and international DJs, as well as local artists from the Tennessee area. They hope to “build an ecosystem” and create a new music community in Nashville.
“Our space is focused on bringing a modern, immersive & elevated nightclub environment to Music City, unlike anything it has ever seen.”
-Night We Met
I think this is a great move for the city. Nashville is a party town, but the only music you get is Country. Maybe it is the EDM talking in me but I would have loved a club to go to when I was there.
They will be focusing on House & Techno and other curated nights. Their goal is the become the premier Dance music destination for the South. Miami might have a thing or two to say about that. Night We Met will also commit to “eco-conscious practices” including implementing reusable cups and banning single-use plastics.
