Innellea just released a new song today (February 9th). This time, the German producer collaborates with Monolink and English duo CamelPhat on ‘Shelter‘ to deliver the focus track from his upcoming album, out via the new Distorted Youth label from Innellea himself.
On ‘Shelter’ a haunting vocal from Berlin’s Monolink aka Steffen Linck sings of solidarity and hope over a steady, resolute house beat woven with growling bass, and a melodic synth starting distorted and buzzy, to end high and singing – the edgy vibe echoing previous trauma, the melody uplifting and life affirming.
The Munich live artist finally unveils his debut album ‘The Belonging’ in full this Friday, featuring diverse and significant collabs with Grammy winner Flowdan, Swedish indie singer/songwriter Karin Park, live musician Juan Hansen and many others. The lead single from the album, ‘Silence’ feat. vocalist/producer Maurice Kaar, is already out with a video. It’s a dark, hypnotic banger with a powerful breakdown and full of emotion. Kaar’s resonant voice expresses isolation, yearning and a wish for connection – ‘your silence speaks so loud’ – as urgent beats build to a distorted crescendo and the drop… an exciting, gripping taste of what’s to come.
