In a recent interview with Capital Dance, Calvin Harris revealed his plan to simply quit the performance aspect of his job in the next few years. As a matter of fact, the Scottish superstar, who was joined by MistaJam and Rag’n’Bone Man on the Capital Dance Evening Show, admitted that he couldn’t see himself behind the decks in the future.
Moreover, Harris added that he’d prefer to be only in the studio making records at that point, even as a ghost producer, saying that the majority of his talent is “making things sound good“. Obviously, nobody can’t deny that last bit at all, but it would still be very sad to see Calvin retire from the live performances. The man behind so many dance hits did not elaborate a lot on why he would retire from DJing stating that “the more commercial end [of DJing] can get a little bit suspect“.
The conversation about retirement sparked because Harris recently turned 40. During the chat, Calvin opened up on life with wife Vick, 34, and how he struggles to “keep up” with her. He and Vick from BBC Radio celebrated their union in a grand wedding inspired by the Glastonbury theme in September of the previous year. Following their marriage, Calvin and Vick embarked on a luxurious honeymoon to Brindisi, Italy, aboard a private jet worth £25 million.
