Belgian-based powerhouse duo Joyhauser are back on Filth on Acid with their new 3-track EP ‘Hardcore Rabbit’. It is a peak-time spectacle that is sure to take dancers on a journey through the unique Filth on Acid sound, and comes after the dynamic Techno duo dropped several big tunes on the likes of Terminal M, Second State and Drumcode. Most recently, Joyhauser joined Eli Brown to drop the massive peak techno track ‘Drop It Down’.
Breakdown
‘Hardcore Rabbit’ is all machine gun lasers and warped basslines over big, raw drums that never let up. Only when you think the song is going to give you a breather, do the drums attack you right back, shocking your nervous system into jumping and dancing.
‘Dexo’ brings some rolling basslines which sweep aside everything in their way as the trancey synths brighten up the mix and get the emotions flowing. The highlights of the song are the stuttering vocals that hypnotize you and take your breath away. The song captivates elements from Psytrance, Peak Techno and Hardcore.
Lastly, ‘Blood on the Floor’ has rising sirens bringing some real tension next to the sweeping synth filters. The drums are edgy and hard and the whole track is designed for maximum destruction in the club. The electric guitar-like elements build up the anticipation into absolute mayhem. The song is as fun and dynamic as it is hard and filthy.
‘Hardcore Rabbit’ EP is full of captivating melodies and thumping beats.
