Dance music has a spot for everyone: we’re currently on a Tech House wave seems like, but also other genres like Future Bass, Dubstep, and Melodic Techno are having their time to shine.
One genre we’ve sort of left behind in the place is Deep House. But not the 90s House sound which is slowly coming back, or the Mainstage Deep we’re all used to by now. I’m talking proper, sweet, sexy, deep Deep House. And we’ve got the man for the job. Enter JAYCiX.
JAYCiX
A man who has stuck to his passion, JAYCiX is a DJ and producer of the Deep House genre. His tracks mainly fall in this genre while borrowing elements from Dance-Pop too, although he’s made tracks in the past to fill the entire spectrum of subgenres corresponding to House.
With over a million Spotify streams only last year and various gigs in Chicago, New York City, and San Francisco, his goal with music is to keep doing what he loves most while also impacting others’ lives.
With inspiration from Billy Joel, Elton John, and the iconic Earth, Wind & Fire, he aims to produce a style of House that not only feels good inn a club, but can also be translated to the simplest terms and still have a structure when, say, played on a piano.
‘Now Or Never’
Chill, toned-down yet still super groovy, ‘Now Or Never’ is JAYCiX’s latest in his search for a truly deep sound. It is lifted off his new Late Nights EP, a four-track collection of various Deep House styles, ‘Now Or Never’ being the smoothest of the pack.
Through funky chords, soft basslines, jazzy sounds and a tender vocal, this track brings all the feels of a more intimate sound over to the big speakers. It’s a well-done hybrid between the more underground and mainstream elements House has to offer.
