Ignite Group , DEG, and Apollo ID is bringing some huge names to New York City’s Brooklyn Hanger this year for Lunar New Year. For almost 3 whole weekends, fans of Alesso, Tïesto, REZZ, ISOxo, Knock2, and Zedd will be treated to some first class events with high production and a stellar venue. Tickets can be found here. February 2: Alesso
Renowned Swedish Progressive House DJ & producer Alesso is at the top of the game. He has worked with numerous top EDM acts including Avicii, OneRepublic, Calvin Harris, Usher, David Guetta, and Sebastian Ingrosso; as well as having headlined at numerous music festivals, including Ultra, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Tomorrowland. He is a powerhouse in the game and has pioneered the modern day progressive house genre. His use of complex melodies has earned him a dedicated world wide fan base and international recognition and a GRAMMY nomination. Alesso has not had a show in New York since summer of 2021, at the reopening of the Brooklyn Mirage post COVID-19. This is a show you won’t want to miss.
February 8 and 9: Tïesto
Dutch DJ and record producer Tijs Michiel Verwest has used many aliases in the past, he is best known for his work as DJ Tiësto. On his latest productions, however, he has dropped the “DJ” label and is now known simply as “Tiësto,” an alias which is an Italian twist of his childhood nickname. Having risen to fam in the late 90’s and early 2000’s, no one could have predicted the longevity of his career and continued success of his music. To this day, he is a staple headliner in festivals across the world, and a huge influence in big room house music. His work can often influences the sound of hundreds of other tracks and is a highly sought after remixer. He won the Grammy Award for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical for his remixed version of John Legend’s Top 40 Hit All Of Me at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.
The Platinum certified international icon will be doing two shows in NYC for the Lunar Eclipse series as his first show sold out almost immediately and Ignite was able to add a second show to keep up with demand.
February 10: REZZ
Isabelle Rezazadeh, known by her stage name Rezz (stylized as REZZ), is a Canadian DJ and record producer from Ontario. She released her debut EP, Insurrection in 2015 through OWSLA’s sub-label Nest HQ. In 2016, she signed with record label mau5trap, and released follow-ups The Silence is Deafening and Something Wrong Here. She has been a pioneer in her own unique sound that features a mid tempo beat and a spooky aesthetic. Her experimentation, dedication and hard work paid off in paving the way for a long career ahead as a highly regarded producer of downtempo soundscapes. She has risen to the top of the dance music world in less than decade and now is a label head (Hypnovizion). REZZ has also built herself a loyal fan base known as the Cult of REZZ and has worked with producers like deadmau5, Seven Lions and NGHTMRE. Tickets are almost sold out!
February 15: ISOxo & Knock2
San Diego native ISOxo shook up the bass music scene with records like ‘Ground,’ and ‘Radial,’ and rose to fame in 2021 with his massive collaboration, ‘Stinger,’ with none other than Sable Valley head RL Grime. The song quickly became one of the most DJ supported tracks of the year, and racked up millions of plays online. Shortly after, ISOxo released his freshman EP, Nightrealm, which was met with critical acclaim from all corners of the industry. From fans, to press outlets, to artists, the EP was hailed as masterwork and breath of fresh air, and he was proclaimed the up-and-coming artist to watch. The record quickly garnered support from the likes of Skrillex, Alison Wonderland, Excision, the list goes on.
After bursting onto the scene with massive collaborations like ‘Radial’ with ISOxo and ‘What’s The Move’ with veteran Henry Fong, Knock2 quickly captured the attention of fans around the globe. Shortly after he released the iconic bass house anthem ‘dashstar*’. With no playlisting, or support of any kind, and no shows due to covid-19, the odds were stacked against him. However, slowly but surely this record began to take on a life of its own. As shows and festivals returned, this sleeper hit began to explode. More and more support from DJ’s such as DJ Snake, Tiesto, Joyryde & more. 2023 has been a landmark year for the rising star. After releasing his widely acclaimed ‘Room 202 EP,’ which featured massive anthems such as ‘MAKE U SWEAT!,’ and ‘rock ur world,’ Knock took his Room 202 concept around the country for his debut headline tour.
The two makes for a match made in heaven for Bass and Trap music fans and show sold out almost immediately upon release.
February 17 & 18: Zedd
Anton Zaslavski, more commonly known under his stage name Zedd, is a Grammy-Award winning Russian-German electronic music producer. Classically trained in music, he started playing the piano at the age of four; his musical career began in 2009, and he signed with Interscope Records a few years after, releasing his debut album, Clarity. One of the most sought after producers today, Zedd has also been constantly not he move performing across the world.
Like Tïesto, a second Zedd show was added to keep up with demand for the artist.
