The astronauts at Kennedy Space Center are about to turn up. According to their website, the space center will host an under-the-stars after-hours event. On the evening of February 2nd, The Space Visitor Complex will be open into the night with some special twists.
The colors of the cosmos will come to life with glow-in-the-dark elements like a “DJ-led techno party.” Their Cosmic Glow Miniature Golf, bar, and lounge areas will be illuminated with an array of colors and eye-popping chalk art crafted by local artists. There are not many places on Earth where you can spend time with those who have traveled beyond our atmosphere.
Veteran NASA astronauts Chris Ferguson and Nicole Stott will mingle with guests throughout the evening. The main visitor complex’s key attractions will remain open with lower wait times. You’ll have more time to venture to other worlds in Spaceport KSC, get up close with actual flight-flown artifacts like space shuttle Atlantis and a SpaceX Falcon 9 booster, and feel the rumble aboard the Shuttle Launch Experience.
Select main visitor complex restaurants and retail stores will also be open during this specially ticketed event. Space-themed costumes are encouraged!
