Every year, as attendees are packing up and beginning their trek home from another outstanding year of Electric Forest Music Festival, it’s not uncommon to hear many exclaiming how each person is craving more. Well, we got a little more of the Rothbury, Michigan festival!
Thanks for some Forest Fam observations, they spotted that the White Lake Mirror, a non-profit news outlet serving Oceana County, where the Double J Ranch is located, the Village approved an extension of the festival to 2035.
This comes just 5 years after the Village’s decision to grant a 10-year permit to continue the festival till 2030. The reason for the additional 5 years added is because there was recently an amendment passed last month that allows permits to be 15 years vs the 10.
The 2019 decision was approved 5-2 with the agreement that the village collects a percentage of ticket fees. Those funds are then used to make road repairs and improve traffic to and from the festival site. Regardless, Forest is always worth a visit once in your career. And now, there are plenty more chances to make it happen!
