We’ve found some that cause goosebumps, and make you open your eyes and get up from your chair to dance. SABAI & Hoang feat. Casey Cook – North Star (KENDRO & JONJEN Remix)
Genre: Future Bass
A track of epic proportions, we’re opening this week’s TTT with quite the remix. Originally crafted by artists SABAI and Hoang, ‘North Star‘ is a heartfelt piece that, through the proper vocal treatment from Casey Cook, is bound to make you feel something.
Today’s version, though, brings two more minds to the table. Add KENDRO and JONJEN to the equation, and what you have is a tear-inducing, wonderful Future Bass banger. Here, listen for yourself.
PHILIAZ – Overthinking
Genre: Dance Pop, Electro Pop
It’s not often that we share more Pop-shifted songs. But this one truly caught our eye. It’s tasty, it’s dynamic, it’s got energy and emotion. We truly loved it. Emerging artist PHILIAZ delights us with ‘Overthinking‘.
Silkilly sung, funky, and groovy, it reminds us of Justice, Daft Punk, and even, Kat Krazy — somehow. From the chords to the bassline behind, this one is a gush of fresh wind to an industry that, sometimes, is oversaturated with plain basslines and minor progressions.
Hyri – Speaker Cone
Genre: Future Garage, Trap
American producer Hyri is up next on our list of discoveries. Four thousand monthly listeners deep into Spotify, this guy has grown to captivate listeners with his hypnotising beats and filthy creations. And today’s track is no exception.
“Smooth and trippy“, as the artist himself describes it, ‘Speaker Cone‘ represents a nod to the earliest of the Dubstep sounds, far from the oversaturated leads we now associate the genre with. The track is minimalistic, yet manages to ace the vibe, feeling not only very full but truly savoury.
GHOST GUN, rom – MAMMOTH
Genre: Midtempo, Dubstep
The GHOST GUN duo knows no bounds. Aiming to transport listeners to cinematic places in which “reality” is an abstract concept, they frequent hybrids which bridge House, Techno, Dubstep, and even Drum and Bass. The end result is something that can only be described as “otherworldly“.
Their latest, ‘MAMMOTH‘, sees the duo join forces with yet another master duo, rom. The tune is a Midtempo/Dubstep track that puts out an incredible amount of power, with the use of growls, saws, bass elements and screeches, and, of course, a spooky melody paired with an equally spooky kick.
Sevenn – End Of The Beginning
Genre: Melodic Techno
You’ve likely heard of Sevenn before. ‘BYOB‘ alongside Alok. Sound familiar? Even more so, ‘BOOM‘ with Tiësto. Now we’re talking. The American artist has had an impressive career, with hundreds of millions of plays on Spotify, releases on Spinnin’, Selected, and Armada, and even an opening for Rock legends Guns n’ Roses.
His most recent release comes in the form of ‘End Of The Beginning‘, a Melodic Techno piece that screams quality all over. The track pairs powerful rolling basslines with dark, sober atmospheres, and an overall aura of pause and ponder. It treats life and death as a cycle, hence, the title.
