Live Nation just announced a new $20 minimum wage for its club employees in US and Canada. Moreover, it will hold a $25 minimum compensation for supervisor roles.The Beverly Hills based company announced the raise for its employees just as record quarters have been documented. Including the incredible salary of CEO Michael Rapino.
Benefits
According to Live Nation, the new wages will benefit more than 5,000 workers. Encompassing ushers, production professionals, and box-office attendants among them. It also noded to advancement opportunities for these individuals.
Rapino made clear that “shows wouldn’t happen without the unsung heroes who work in the background to help support artists and fans.”
Other Hurdles
On top of the record revenue reported by Live Nation to this point in 2023, there was a September labor-code lawsuit submitted by a former Insomniac employee. The claim explained that the former employee had not been paid his overtime compensation, as well as breaks and man other issues.
