The Brooklyn Navy Yard, a sprawling industrial backdrop, was the place to be last Friday as The Chainsmokers were in town, taking the holiday celebrations to a whole new level. The world-renowned electronic duo provided the soundtrack for a night of hauntingly good fun in the heart of Brooklyn. The venue had been transformed with spooky Halloween decor. Partygoers all across the tristate donned their most creative and eerie Halloween costumes for the party of a weekend.
The Venue
Entering the venue was a feat to behold as the Brooklyn Navy Yard had been transformed into a visually-stunning 104,000 square foot playground. The cavernous feel of the warehouse gave it that underground feel and it was massively long and wide. All the way to the front of a venue was a large LED screen which provided all the vibrant and colorful visuals for the night. Throughout the night, Halloween costumes took center stage, adding an extra layer of theatricality to the event. Attendees dressed as ghouls, ghosts, and other spooky characters, enhancing the overall atmosphere. It was a surreal blend of eerie visuals, incredible music, and imaginative costumes
Joining The Chainsmokers on support was DJ Press Play, Forester, and Dillon Francis. All the acts put on an amazing performance with each set inching the crowd’s excitement and energy levels to higher peaks. When the clock struck 1:30am, the superstar duo The Chainsmokers took center stage for their headlining performance. The excitement was buzzing in the air as all the fans in the crowd had been waiting for this moment and the duo definitely delivered. From start to finish, they had the crowd dancing in a frenzy to their seamless transitions and explosive drops. There was also no shortage of singalongs amongst the crowds to some of their most popular tracks such as ‘Roses’ and ‘Closer’. Beyond the electrifying performance that they put on, The Chainsmoker’s charisma was on full display as they got everyone hyped during the set. The production was also top tier and definitely lived up to the expectations that the organizers Ignite Group had promised. A stunning display of lasers and pyrotechnics added to the overall experience of the thousands of partygoers in attendance.
