British tech house DJ Michael Bibi recently surprised partygoers with a closing set at Solid Grooves at DC-10 in Ibiza. Watch and relive it below.
It’s been an emotional journey for Bibi, after his diagnosis of cancer in June and cancelling all his gigs. The cancer he has, a rare form known as CNS lymphoma, is found in the spine and brain. Bibi has fought with determination and resilience, leading to his triumphant return to the music scene. After a strenuous time of over a 100 days of treatment, he teased his return on Instagram as he shared a photo from a plan the same day. The co-founder of the Ibiza party and label Solid Grooves took over the decks delivering an unforgettable set in Ibiza.
Fans at Solid Grooves had a heartwarming reaction as he stepped back on the stage. Bibi played for an hour, a memorable set with unreleased music by him. He went onto the closing the emotional performance with Technotronics ‘Pump Up The Jam‘.
Knowing that i still have to go back into hospital to continue with aggressive cancer treatment after such a beautifully brief moment of freedom is a very hard pill to swallow.
